Sixth Form

On Monday morning, our Lower Sixth students embarked on an inspiring initiative, joining Bedford School for the first in a series of Citizenship talks.

These talks provide an important platform for students from both schools to collaborate, discuss, and take action on significant social issues affecting young people today.

Nawaal Qazi (Lower Sixth) reflected on the first meeting: “The meeting with Bedford School was informative and provided a valuable opportunity to discuss and plan a strategic approach to addressing the pressing issue of sexual harassment and assault. We were preparing our approach for the Year 9 students at both BGS and Bedford School. The discussion was insightful, ensuring that all aspects of this important topic were explored, and we were able to identify key actions and initiatives that would benefit both schools moving forward.

“The meeting was collaborative, fostering an environment of openness and mutual respect. Participants from both schools shared their insights and experiences, and it was clear that all parties are committed to implementing meaningful change in how these issues are addressed within our respective communities.

“This meeting represents a significant step in our collective efforts to tackle sexual harassment and assault, and it sets a strong foundation for future collaboration between BGS and Bedford School in supporting our students through these sensitive and important matters.”
