By Mrs Martin (Head of Year 3)
Our Year 3 girls dazzled in their Christmas production Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, a vibrant celebration of culture and creative expression.
Rooted in the central idea: Cultural stories and our understanding of the natural world influence how we express ourselves creatively through drama and performance, the show was a testament to the girls' hard work, creativity, and passion for performance. This entertaining Christmas musical follows Santa on a mission to show the world that the best gifts don’t cost a penny, offering a thoughtful perspective on the festive season.
Our young performers embodied the Learner Profile attributes to perfection. They were Thinkers, exploring how cultural stories and scientific concepts could be represented through drama, movement, and voice. As Knowledgeable learners, they deepened their understanding of seasonal traditions and the science behind Earth's natural changes and as caring classmates, they collaborated with empathy and patience, supporting one another through every rehearsal.
The production was a wonderful display of unity, creativity, and joyful expression. Their impressive singing, heartfelt performances, and polished stage presence engaged the audience throughout. Every girl played a vital role in bringing this magical show to life, and their collective efforts have left us all feeling inspired, proud and very Christmassy. Bravo, Year 3!
