Sixth Form Alumnae

Now in its eighth year, the BGS Alumnae Mentoring Programme 2024-25, launched last Thursday (16th January) with our new cohort of Mentors and Mentees for the year ahead attending our introductory workshop, led by Head of Careers, Mrs Kate Whitlock.

We are delighted to be joined by the following Mentors this year, some who have worked with us in previous years along with some new faces:  Michelle Masih (DAHS 2011), Krupa Katechia (BGS 2015), Emilina Lionetti (DAHS 2012), Zandria Barclay (née Tolliday, DAHS 1997), Kate Lanz (BHS 1982), Sally Michaels (née Carroll, BHS 1997), Caroline Evans (DAHS 1988), Paula Stevenson (DAHS 1989), Fiyin Fayeye (BHS 2002), Tricia Clegg (DAHS 1976), Rachel Callan (née Henry, BHS 1988), Suzanne Tanser (née Rinaldo, BHS 1988), Alice Gainsford (née Duncombe, DAHS 1995), Dr Alice Frost (BGS 2017), Lauren Troiano (BHS 2010), Bijal Shah (BHS 2000) and Megan O’Reilly (BGS 2018). The Mentors bring with them a wealth of experience across a variety of sectors including civil engineering, medicine, marketing, education, aviation and media.

The scheme is coordinated by Mrs Whitlock and Mrs MacKenzie. All the Mentors involved with the programme are alumnae and the programme is part of our drive at BGS to make our alumnae organisation modern and purposeful for its members, as well as an introduction for students to the additional support network our alumnae community provides on leaving school. As part of the school’s vision to equip our students for an ever-changing working world we are very proud that we are able to offer the BGS Alumnae Mentoring Programme to our students in the Lower Sixth.

We wish our pairs all the very best for the year ahead.
