Sixth Form Science

By Mr Bowden (Head of Physics)

On Wednesday evening, a group of Sixth Form Physics students visited Bedford School's Planetarium and Observatory. The evening began in the welcoming warmth of the planetarium, where the students enjoyed an engaging and informative talk on the night sky.

The group then moved to the observatory, where they learned about the workings of the 16-inch reflecting telescope. The visit concluded with a fascinating session on the life cycle of stars, directly linking to the material covered in their A Level and IB Physics courses.

Our thanks go to Bedford School for hosting this visit and, in particular, to Linton and Yvette Guise for their support.
