Year 3 this week (Monday – Wednesday 24th) spent two days at the picturesque Burwell House in Cambridgeshire, where they enjoyed a variety of activities.
Built in the late 1700s, Burwell House is a state-of-the-art facility offering a variety of residential and day courses for children across all parts of the curriculum.
Year 3 enjoyed a busy three days in Cambridgeshire, starting off by participating in a number of orienteering activities, using the house, its grounds and the local village of Burwell.
The girls also explored the area’s history, climbed Devil’s Dyke on the Cambridgeshire and Suffolk border and participated in a series of team building challenges.
Miss Crawford-Smith, Year 3 teacher, said: “The girls had a brilliant time and got a great deal out of the trip. By being away from home, the girls were given a high level of responsibility and developed their independence.”
