This week, Lower Sixth English Language students enjoyed a trip to the British Museum and the British Library.
Upon arrival at the museum, we were eager to explore reading and writing through the ages.
We worked together in thematic groups, Cuneiform, Pictographs, Hieroglyphs and Mayan Glyphs, following the clues to complete the challenge.
After a fun, explorative morning, we headed to the British Library where we were treated to a fantastic tour and creative writing workshop.
A particular highlight for me was the new Magna Carta exhibition, celebrating the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta document.
Mrs Hoar said: “The girls were captivated by the magnitude of the British Library and their creative writing based on some of the wonderful artefacts gave them the opportunity to showcase their talents.”
