Junior School

Over the past week, our Junior School pupils have collectively used their creative skills to create picture book for the ReadingZone Picture Book Competition.

The annual competition is aimed at children and young people aged four to 18 years and challenges them to make their own picture book around World Book Day. Anyone can enter, from individuals working from home, to groups of children within a school.

Each winning individual, school or library will receive 50 printed copies of their picture book; a selection of picture books or fiction titles; and a free author / illustrator visit will be given to the overall winner.

The whole Junior School have been involved in the creative picture book process with the guidance of the LRC team. The girls have enjoyed many hours of action packed fun, by being imaginative, adventurous and creative!

The closing date for the competition was Saturday 28th April. We hope to receive the Achievement Award, which is for the most enthusiastic ‘behind the scenes’ activities that have gone into making picture book entries.
