The Junior School Student Voice girls have been busy in December, organising a reverse advent calendar. The girls felt it was important at this time of year to think about local people who may be less fortunate. “At Christmas we always get so much, it feels better to give at Christmas than to receive,” said Sonia Erwig (Year 6), Student Voice Head Girl.

After launching their idea in assembly, the girls placed decorated boxes in the Junior School classrooms. Each class Student Voice representative was responsible for drumming up support within the class to bring in festive items of food to donate.

This morning the girls gathered all the boxes of food together and took them down to Woodside Church in Bedford, which operates a Food Bank.  We hope that we have spread a little joy this Christmas!
