Mr Gardner (Senior Deputy Head, Teaching and Learning)

On Monday 18^th March, colleagues from Bedford Girls’ School attended the Harper Trust Teachmeet event at Bedford Modern School. The event was designed to draw together practitioners from across the Harpur Trust schools network to share the latest developments in education.

Colleagues from Bedford Girls’ School shared presentations on topics linked to gender stereotyping, which looked at the threats, effects and ideas for challenging it; the benefits of inquiry-based learning and how it helps students beyond the classroom and leadership development.

All three presentations were very well received by the audience of fellow teachers, and deep discussions followed which considered ways to implement the ideas in practice.
