This week the Junior Head Girls’ Team have been thinking about the importance of our emotional wellbeing.

On Monday, the girls presented a thought-provoking assembly to the Junior School to raise awareness of the Ten Keys to a Happier Life (as promoted by the organisation, Action for Happiness). This includes: being kind to others (and ourselves), living mindfully and taking the time to stop and notice the little things around us, looking for what’s good in our days and having goals to look forward to.

The assembly was followed up by a mindful colouring session at lunchtime on Wednesday, a special session of Mrs Thomas’ Keep Calm and Relax Club on Thursday and finally, a wellbeing themed treasure hunt at break time today to raise funds for CHUMS, a local charity, which provides mental health and emotional wellbeing services to children and young people.

Anna Whomsley, a member of the Junior Head Girls' Team said: "I have really enjoyed promoting emotional wellbeing in the Junior School and, after such a busy term, it has been great to take part in some of the mindfulness activities at school this week."
