We are delighted to announce that the annual Prize Giving ceremony will be taking place at BGS on Wednesday 10th July, 6:45pm – 10:00pm.
The event celebrates the success of our girls in Years 7-Upper Sixth, who have gone above and beyond this year, prizes range from Academic Excellence to the most prestigious accolade, the School Dux.
This year our special guest will be Sir Anthony Seldon, one of Britain’s leading contemporary historians, educationalists, commentators and political authors. Sir Anthony is best known in part, for his biographies of Margaret Thatcher, John Major, and Tony Blair, to name but a few. He was the co-founder and first director of the Centre for Contemporary British History, co-founder of Action for Happiness and a governor of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
In the 2014 Birthday Honours, he received a knighthood for services to education and modern political history.
Also founder of the Via Sacra Western Front Walk, he was executive producer of the film Journey’s End and in 2016 appeared on the BBC Radio 4, Desert Island Discs.
Invites will be sent to prize winners and their families in June.
