Whole School Trips and Excursions

Etienne Maughan and Emily Perry (Year 9)

On Friday 10th May, 28 Year 9 students travelled to the Côte d'Opale in Northern France, to practise their French language skills and to experience the culture and way of life.

Once we had arrived in France, we visited an organic fruit farm called Naturpom. We had the opportunity to tour the farm and to see how apple juice was made using traditional French techniques. It was a great way to learn new French vocabulary as well as tasting delicious organic fruit juice.

On the second day, we travelled to a local seaside and market town called Le Touquet and then to Boulogne. We went to the market and had the chance to practise our French speaking skills in real life situations.

On our final day, we visited a small sweet factory called Becasuc. We all found it really interesting to see how sweets were made. Overall, the trip was a great way to develop and learn new skills. We would recommend the trip as it was a fun and interesting way to expand our knowledge about France and the French language.
