Aspiring author Louie Judd (Lower Sixth) has recently published her first book, Happy Collisions. A teen romance, the book follows Lower Sixth student Beth, on her journey to finding love.
Here is an extract from the book:
Beth is a high-school student who only wants to survive and make music; her plans are going well until a cute, clumsy dancer called Kiera comes stumbling into her life.
Let’s hope all collisions are happy ones… for Beth’s sake.
Where a dance nerd collides with a music geek.
Louie explains why she wanted to write a book: “As a gay teen, I found that there were never any books that supported the idea that you could have a relationship that was gay and happy. The only books available in this genre were depressing teen angst books and failed homosexual relationships.
“This section of ‘gay-hope’ seemed rather sparse on the library shelves and, feeling like I needed to make a change, I then started writing The Collisions Series during my GCSEs. I would like to write more books that inspire a generation of self-loving teens who are accepting and look to see the world in a better light.”
Louie’s digital version of the book is available to download from Amazon.
