On Saturday, four swimmers from the Junior School travelled to the London Aquatics Centre to compete in the IAPS National Swimming Finals.
The U11 freestyle team consisting of Year 6 pupils Charlotte Brakenbury, Hannah Kilpatrick, Roisin Scanlon and Nwando Ifeacho competed against the top 20 schools. The girls put together a very good relay, placing 9th overall.
In the second session, Nwando competed in the U11 50m freestyle heats. She qualified for the final in 5th position. In the final, she managed her composure and focus, producing a very fast 50m freestyle time of 30.29s, becoming the IAPS National Champion.
