Two BGS pupils played a big part at the Bedfordshire Closed County Championships held at Riverside LTC on Saturday 31st August.
Megan Brook (Year 9) won three out of four finals. She started her finals day at 9am and finished exhausted at 4pm! Along the way, she became U14, Singles, Doubles and Mixed Champion.
Poppy Whitford (Year 6) claimed the Under 10 Girls Singles title. She said: “‘I really enjoyed competing in the Bedfordshire County Closed Cup and was so happy to become the Girls U10s county champion. I was also very proud to make it into the final of the girls U12s. I have just moved to yellow ball from green ball and I’m really looking forward to entering lots of tournaments and playing at number one for the county.”
