Year 8 are taking part in the Tenner Challenge, a national competition run by Young Enterprise, which runs over four weeks. The overall aim is to work in teams and produce products they can sell at a profit to raise funds for the school charity FACES.

The challenge behind the project is that each team has a total budget of £10, therefore testing their creativity and inventiveness. The competition started on Monday 24th February and over the coming weeks there are various stages for the teams to go through, culminating in a lunchtime fair when the products will be sold.

Last week saw the teams getting themselves registered, deciding on their products and, additionally, the important task of designing a logo. The quality of the designs submitted was excellent and it was tough to choose just five to be put forward to enter into the national competition. Congratulations to the winning teams of Candy Crush, Spa Time, Squeeeaky Clean Soaps, Cases for Faces and Melz on their success.  This week the focus has been on writing and recording a sales pitch for the product and next week the focus moves to finance and production.
