As part of this half term’s, Unit of Inquiry all about Sharing the Planet, Year 5 have been investigating the social, physical and economic impact of people’s choices on environments.

Daisy Harris (Year 5) has been inspired by her learning to consider the effects of people littering in her local area. She decided to write a persuasive letter to the Mayor of Bedford, Mr Dave Hodgson, about the current problem as well and ‘take action’ to go out and pick up some of the litter. She was thrilled to receive a reply to her letter, and is hoping to continue her quest to keep the area litter free with the help of some other Year 5 pupils.
