It’s that time of year again when excitement builds ahead of the annual House Drama competition! The annual event involves Year 7 pupils working with Lower Sixth students to produce and perform a play at our House Drama Festival, which will take place over three days on Monday 12th – Wednesday 15th October at 4.00-5.30pm.
This year House Drama has been adapted to ensure that year group bubbles do not mix and that it can take place within government COVID-19 guidelines.
Given five weeks to prepare for the competition, each House play is performed by Year 7 girls, with students from the Lower Sixth cast as script writers and directors, from a safe social distance of course!
Last year, Hepburn’s winning version of German fairy tale Snow White had the audience in laughter throughout.
Mrs Axford (Assistant Head), said: “One of many highlights on the co-curricular calendar, House Drama is such an important collaborative event where the Year 7 students build relationships with the older students, who can support and guide them through this first year.”
