During lockdown, we highlighted how inspirational student, Ella Coupland (Year 4), went above and beyond, using her entrepreneurial spirit in the community.
As the golf clubs began to reopen, Ella set up a stall at Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands Golf Club, selling recycled golf balls to raise funds for the NHS. She put a plea out to her local community, putting a note in her neighbours’ post boxes asking if they could kindly donate their golf balls. Ella managed to collect an estimated 1000 balls, selling many to the club members.
On Wednesday 19th August, Ella visited the club with her family, who presented her with a cheque for £350. The club agreed to match her final total, and as a result, the sum that Ella donated was £875. Well done, Ella!
