Whole School Alumnae

Alumna, Alice Macfarlane (née Cooper, DAHS 2002), has just launched an online business, Pairs Scotland, a business selling luxury mohair and alpaca socks.

Following school, Alice studied Economics at the University of Edinburgh. She went on to train as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and later became an investment manager with Kames Capital.

After she and her husband married, they relocated to the beautiful Perthshire countryside, and had their first child and bought a dog. Alice was keen to start a business that worked around her busy family life. She met her future business partner at a mother and toddler group and together they launched their online business, Pairs Scotland, a business selling luxury mohair and alpaca socks. Lockdown presented the pair with an opportunity to get their new business project underway and to bring the business to fruition. Visit the website here
