Whole School Food and Nutrition

The Thank You NHS Bake Off competition has once again showcased students’ creativity and cooking skills alike. Launched during remote learning in early January, Mrs Redfern (Acting Head Food and Nutrition) and Mrs Muscroft (Food and Nutrition Teacher) organised a variety of baking challenges over eight weeks.

Mrs Redfern said: “The final two rounds of the BGS Thank You NHS House Bake Off have proved that the BGS community are outstanding bakers. It has been lovely for Mrs Muscroft and myself to have marked such highly skilled work from superb decorating in the celebration cake round to exquisite macaroons in the Afternoon Tea round.”
