On Monday morning, the Year 3 girls enjoyed a Poetry Recital in the Junior School gardens. Part of their English Curriculum provides them with the opportunity to find a new poem which they have not used before, with a minimum of 12 lines and learn it off by heart to recite in front of their peers.

The girls were asked to choose something with relevance to their Unit of Inquiry Sharing the Planet which provided lots of opportunity for investigation and discussion so that we avoided clashes!

The girls were asked to think about their posture, delivery and volume of the poem and making eye contact with their audience, as well as the obvious skill of remembering their lines and it was such a wonderful end of term activity to see the girls working
