Mrs Thomas (Year 3 Teacher)

Throughout this week, students across the Junior school have been celebrating World Kindness Day, which took place on 13th November.  World Kindness Day is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and to the world.

Within their classes, girls were given the mission to become a Secret Angel for the week. This involved carrying out lots of random acts of kindness towards their chosen person. However, as their identity had to be kept secret, the challenge was to perform many acts of kindness to lots of others too. Today, the girls have been guessing who they thought their Secret Angel for the week had been.  There have been a few surprises!

In addition, Year 3 have also been creative in writing their own Kindness Poem and created a display showing all the ways in which they have been showing kindness towards others this week. The purpose of all these activities is to really help spread the work of kindness across our community and help everyone understand that compassion for others is really what binds us all together.
