Mrs Baker (Year 4 Teacher)

This term, in Science, Year 4 have been considering their Central Idea that, “Over time living things have to adapt in order to survive”. Through their research they identified some common adaptations to different groups of animals.

By visiting a variety of investigation stations, they were able to use their observation and questioning skills. They had great fun exploring the benefits of different shaped beaks, claws and eyes. Coating their gloved hands in vegetable ghee, before submerging in icy water, certainly helped them to appreciate the benefits of blubber!
