It was a busy festive break for Millie (BGS Year 4) and younger sister, Phoebe Guest (age 6), who braved the cold weather and raised funds for SMART CJS - a charity helping homeless people.

The sisters sold mistletoe that was growing on their grandmother’s crab-apple tree and raised an incredible £120! Read the full article from the Bedford Independent here.

SMART Chief Executive, Anita McCallum, said: “I am really impressed at both the kindness and enterprise that Millie and Phoebe have shown and at the work they have put in to raise the magnificent sum of £120 for us.”

Towards the end of the holiday, Millie and her friend Daisy Dagger (BGS Year 4), have been doing their bit for the environment by venturing out in their local community to litter pick.

Thank you, Millie, Phoebe and Daisy, we are so proud of you all. It’s so heart-warming to see young and passionate students continuing to take agency and support their local communities in different ways.
