Mrs Schofield (Head of Year 4)

Year 4 have been investigating the different ways people express and communicate their beliefs through art.

Looking at temples and churches, the girls have considered how some stained-glass windows tell a story, or show symbols related to their religion. They also investigated the special stained- glass windows in the Junior School that celebrate the history of the School through images. Thinking about their own beliefs and values, the girls created a mood board on Google Slides and then chose key symbols and colours they thought would best communicate and celebrate their beliefs.

All of the designs are so unique and special to each girl in Year 4 and they have all taken responsibility for their thinking, planning and the final product. The windows will be displayed around the Junior School for everyone to enjoy.
