April 29th 2022
Mrs Schofield (Head of Year 4)
On Friday 22nd April (Earth Day 2022) the Year 4 pupils thought about how precious the Earth is and why it is so important to do everything we can to preserve the animals, habitats and oceans that we share our planet with.
Using sustainably sourced wooden discs, the girls drew images of nature that are especially important to them. These images included forests, sea life and the polar ice caps, but also calls to recycle, reduce plastic use and keep the environment clean for the next generations.
After glazing their work, the discs were hung on a tree in the Junior School garden to serve as a reminder for all of us to take action in caring for our planet.
