Mrs Inkson (Head of Year 6)

Year 6 have been really moved by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. They have spent time this week reflecting on her long life and the enormous contributions she has made to the United Kingdom. She really was an inspirational role model for us all.

This half term our PYP Unit of Inquiry is all about art – the girls are investigating work of different artists, how art has changed over time and how artists portray their feelings about issues in society through their art.

The girls realised that the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has impacted our society in different ways. They then wondered how we could portray this through art. To show their appreciation, they decided to create an eye-catching piece of artwork inspired by the pop-art artist, Andy Warhol’s, Reigning Queens.
