As we continue to be delighted with the number of overall offers our Upper Sixth Form students are receiving, we are keen to congratulate students who have received conditional offers from Oxbridge. We currently have an offer to read Medicine at Oxford and Classics at Cambridge. In addition we are thrilled for 2022 Leaver, Emily Fordham, who has received an unconditional offer from Sidney Sussex College in Cambridge to read Law, starting this Autumn.

Emily is currently taking a year out after achieving an amazing set of exam results in August 2022. She told us: “I am currently on my gap year working as a teaching assistant in Australia for six months. I am really looking forward to travelling up the East coast of Australia, and going over to New Zealand after I finish work to explore different and remote parts of the world.

“I was so pleased when the offer came through from Cambridge and I am excited to start learning about a whole new subject when I begin university in October!”

Well done Emily – we wish you all the best for the rest of your year out, and will follow your progress at university with interest!

Our Sixth Form students applying to Oxford and Cambridge have worked incredibly hard to prepare for their assessments and interviews. Their success, against incredibly fierce competition is a testament to their hard work and commitment and that of their teachers and BGS Oxbridge Coordinator, Mrs Pearl.
