On Tuesday 4th June, BGS welcomed back Mrs Redford, our former Head of Speech and Drama, to lead engaging workshops with Year 5.
During the sessions, the girls had the opportunity to delve into vocabulary in a creative way, exploring how words can evoke different emotions and shape performances. Mrs Redford guided them through exercises that highlighted the importance of connecting with an audience and using words effectively.
The progress made by the girls was remarkable as they discovered the power of language to paint vivid pictures and convey messages. They also learned valuable skills such as listening, observing others and understanding body language – skills that are not only useful in acting but also in everyday life.
Overall, the workshops provided an enriching experience that ignited the girls’ passion for drama and equipped them with valuable communication skills for the future.
