Cricket Selections for Miller Sisters

Sporting sisters Florence (Year 9) and Natasha Miller (Year 7) have been selected for the Emerging Players Programme (EPP) at Northants County Cricket Club (NCCC). They will be part of just six girls who will receive specialised coaching until March 2018.

The initiative is designed to identify the very best youngsters from within the county youth system and give them individual development plans on a one-to-one basis supported by the very best coaches.

The girls have performed exceptionally well in the county circuit to be selected for this programme. Florence, who specialises as a batting all-rounder, scored almost 1000 runs with an average of 68.79 in the 2017 season. She was the top run scorer in Northants of all male and female non-professionals and the top run scorer in the country at U13 and fifth in the U15 age group of girls.

Natasha specialises as leg spinner and in the 2017 season was the top wicket taker for her U11 age group. She has also represented the U13 team on a number of occasions. Both girls went to the national ECB finals with Northants U13 - a first for the county at this age group.

The girls will also have the potential to compete within the Regional Training squads/ Women’s Kia Super League. They represent the pinnacle of the County Age Group talent.
