After a successful district competition, seven talented runners qualified to compete for North Bedfordshire at the County Cross Country Championships at Ampthill Park on Wednesday 5 January.

Navigating a challenging course with hilly terrain and muddy paths, our athletes enjoyed calm, spring-like weather. Among the top performers was Pippa Blakemore (Year 8), who secured fifth place and earned a spot to represent Bedfordshire at the English Schools Cross Country Championships in Ardingly on Saturday 15th March.

Penny Adams (Year 10) finished in tenth place, with Bella Holt (Year 11) securing fourteenth. Both have been granted reserve places on the Bedfordshire County team. Rekha Kambli (Year 11) ran a strong race, finishing eighteenth, just missing out on a reserve selection.

Evelyn Howard (Year 7) finished twelfth, Jess Deverill (Year 6) and Bella Maslin (Year 6) placed twenty-seventh and thirty-eighth respectively.

Congratulations to all the athletes on their achievements. We look forward to following their progress.
