Mrs Harrold (Head of Psychology)
In Psychology lessons this half term, each class of Sixth Formers have been engaged in a hard-fought battle. Each student has been aiming to take the coveted top-spot in what has come to be known as the 'Stupid Task Wednesday/Friday Competition' league (depending on the year group).
Each week, at a pre-designated time, we step away from our more traditional learning to focus on our well-being, positivity and key learner attributes by competing to see who can respond with the greatest creativity, insight and speed to a truly daft request.
So far, the classes have duked it out in various contests, such as: Who Can Wear the Most Attractive Hat That Is Not A Hat; Who Can Reveal the Most Unexpected Item from Underneath A Mug and Who Can Write the Second Longest Word, amongst others. As we reach half term, however, victors must be declared, with Elizabeth Bruce and Eloise Cacioppo being the convincing winners in their Lower Sixth classes and Jaya Chambers decimating the competition in the Upper Sixth. Here you can see them being congratulated by the good sportspeople in each class... though what is paramount in most people's minds is who will win next term...
