BGS’ rowers thrived on the experience of the British Rowing Indoor Championships before Christmas, where they rubbed shoulders with some of the sport’s elite stars.

Held at the Olympic Velodrome in London, Years 9-Sixth Form girls competed over varying distances in their respective age categories.

At the end of the day, the competing Great Britain Women’s team popped over for a chat with the BGS rowers, much to the delight of the girls.

In terms of their results, the girls all performed admirably, with notable highlights including Gaby Crawford (Upper Sixth) finishing 9th in the 2km test, and Jess Hopewell coming 11th in the six minute test.
