After yet another outstanding House Glee competition, the results have been announced, with Franklin being named both the Song and Overall winners.

Twin sisters Alice and Esmée Challacombe (Year 5, Franklin) won the Junior School individual category, with their heartfelt performance of Ed Sheeran's Supermarket Flowers. Christine Pearson and Mia Wilson (Year 11, Hepburn) won the Senior School event, they sang Sia's Bird Set Free. Franklin’s rendition of the Beauty and the Beast theme music proved to be a particular highlight for all.

The BGS community is already counting down to next year’s House Drama and Glee competitions.

Mrs Jones, Assistant Head, Co-Curriculum adds: “I am always amazed at how many girls are willing to stand up in front of their peers and perform. Once again, this year the range of acts were fantastic with the girls demonstrating a huge variety of talent, not just singing. The quality of performances were incredible and I am particularly pleased to see that so many students are making their own music as well as using backing tracks and even in some cases writing their own music which is really impressive.”
