Mr Mason-Mcleod (Head of Hockey)

Isabel Jackson, in Year 8, completed the East Young Umpire hockey course during the half-term holiday. This is a great first step for Isabel to get involved in officiating and starting her hockey umpiring career.

Isabel will be able to umpire U10 and U12 In2Hockey matches within school and her club, and has the opportunity to progress further by umpiring at junior county events, such as England Hockey Academy Centres. She will also be added to the East Young Umpire Pathway's Academy Programme, where the support team of coaches and mentors will be on hand to help her with progression and development. She has now volunteered to help umpire some junior school hockey matches in the near future.

Isabel has been invited to the England Hockey U15 Performance Centre assessment day this coming Sunday. Well done, Isabel.

In other hockey news, we would like to wish the best of luck to Jossy Young (Year 10) and Cerys Peppiatt (Year 10) who have U17 England Hockey Performance Trials on Sunday 16th June, and Florence Miller (Year 10), who has England U16 training during that weekend too.
