On Saturday 1st February, the U10 A and B netball teams travelled to a very blustery Witham Hall.
The A team started the day brilliantly, winning all three of their group games convincingly against Stamford Junior School, Kimbolton and Spratton Hall. This put them at the top of their group, where they went on to play a very strong Wellingborough side. After losing 1-5, they replayed Spratton Hall in the 3/4th play-off. At full time, the score was 0-0 and it was decided that a golden goal would decide the victors. BGS dug deep scoring within the first minute to finish third overall in the A Team tournament.
The B team finished top of their group winning two games and drawing one. In the semi final they lost by one goal putting them through to the 3rd/4th play-off. Unfortunately, they lost 2-1 to hosts Witham Hall meaning BGS finished fourth out of eight schools. Well done to all of the girls, they showed fantastic resilience and thank you to their parents for the support!
