The BGS equestrian teams showcased their talent at the NSEA Home Counties Showjumping Qualifiers this past weekend.

The event, held at Bury Farm Equestrian Centre in Leighton Buzzard, saw top riders from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Northamptonshire schools competing for individual and team honours.

The highlight of the weekend came from Larissa Brown and her horse Kiss Me Hdh, affectionately known as Gigi. The pair achieved first place in the 90cm class, making them Bedfordshire County Champions. This impressive performance has secured their place at the Hickstead National Championships in May. It will be Larissa’s third time representing the school at Hickstead, but her first with Gigi.

Clover White also delivered a commendable performance with her new pony, Greyford Boy. The duo achieved two clear rounds in the 70cm and 80cm classes. While the team of Clover, Lily Sonsino and Evelyn Marshall narrowly missed qualifying for the County Championships, they earned a well-deserved 6th place rosette in the team event.
