Iftar – Wednesday 26th March 2025, 5.30pm in the Dining Hall

Following the success of our recent Iftar events at the school, the BGS South Asian Society are delighted to invite you to join us for an Iftar celebration during Ramadan 2025. 

The event will take place in the Senior School Dining Hall from 5:45pm and families can arrive from 5.30pm to drop off hot food and prepare. There will be activities leading up to the call for prayer by an Imam, followed by the breaking of the fast. We invite you to bring food to share amongst the guests. This will be a wonderful opportunity to introduce people to your family’s favourite dish, or perhaps something that holds significance to you at this important time of year.  

This event is open to the entire BGS community. It will be a chance for everyone to discover more about this important event that is observed by many families in our community, and to enjoy a meal with friends, old and new.

Charity Colour Run

We are adding a new event to our Junior School charity programme.

This year, the Hindu festival of Holi falls on Friday, 14th March. In the week leading up to it, children will learn about this joyful festival in assembly and form time. Known as the "Festival of Colours," Holi marks the arrival of spring and celebrates love, friendship, and the triumph of good over evil.

To embrace the festive spirit, we are holding a Charity Colour Run in the Junior School gardens on Friday, 21st March, at 4.15pm. Pupils can run, walk, or skip around the course while being showered with vibrant, vegetable-based powders from a recognised UK supplier.

The £7 entrance fee will go directly to our school charities and includes protective sunglasses for each child.
