Whole School Alumnae

We are incredibly proud of two-time GB Olympian and BGS alumna, Revée Walcott-Nolan (2013), who has won her first major international medal at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, from 6th to 9th March 2025.

Competing in the 1500m, Revée secured a memorable European bronze medal on the second night in a photo finish against pre-race favourite Georgia Hunter Bell. The two British athletes crossed the line together in four minutes 08.45 seconds, but Revée was awarded her first international medal by one-thousandth of a second.

Having celebrated her 30th birthday on Thursday 6th March, Revée told British Athletics, “I am so happy! Obviously, silver or gold would have been nicer, but to come away with a bronze today, when a couple of weeks ago I did not think I would be racing indoors at all, I am really proud of myself.

“I will be celebrating with my friends for my birthday, and now I have double celebrations with this medal! It means a lot, just knowing the effort I have put in, my coach has put in, and everyone around me has put in supporting me to get here. It means a lot that I can finally show it is all worth it.”

We wish Revée the best of luck as she represents the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team in the 1500m at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China from 21st to 23rd March.
