I joined Bedford Girls’ School in 2014 having been Head of Early Years at Haynes Lower School. I took post as a Year 4 teacher and I have been in my current role as Head of Year 3 since, since 2015. I mostly enjoy supporting the application of the foundation skills necessary in Early Years, to the transition at the start of Year 3 to Bedford Girls’ School and beyond.

I spent 10 years working in the Sound industry before retraining to become a teacher specialising in Early Years with particular focus on phonics, early reading and writing. I am a lifelong learner and in 2015 I completed my Masters in Education.

As a member of the alumnae, the thing I enjoy most about the BGS community is the people that I have met and continue to meet. There is a special bond that binds the teachers, pupils and parents together. It is always exciting to welcome new parents and children into our community and think about where that special bond will take them.
