After studying Music at Plymouth University, I completed my teacher training at Dartington College of Arts. My first teaching position was at Lipson Community College in Plymouth, before moving onto Churston Ferrers Grammar School, and then Kingsbridge Community College in the South Hams. Whilst teaching in Devon, I was fortunate enough to be able to continue my postgraduate education, completing a master’s degree in education at University of Exeter.

Prior to joining the BGS community in 2019, I was Assistant Head (Teaching and Learning) at Al Bateen Academy in the United Arab Emirates where I specialised in Music and Theory of Knowledge (IB). Whilst there I also developed a passion for leadership development and coaching and facilitated various accredited programmes for middle and senior leaders. I am also a qualified executive coach and continue to build this into my leadership and teaching practice at BGS.

What I enjoy most about the BGS is the sense of cooperation across the School community, which serves to provide the very best experience for our students.
