Claudia Hammond is an award-wining broadcaster, author and psychology lecturer. Her work shares the ways that psychological and medical research can help us in our everyday lives. As a Visiting Professor of the Public Understanding of Psychology, at the University of Sussex, Claudia gives talks on psychology around the world and often chairs public events on psychology, medicine and science. She also presents several podcasts and radio shows including, All in the Mind on BBC Radio 4, and the weekly global health show Health Check on BBC World Service.

Claudia has published several books, her latest, a Waterstones Bestseller, being, The Art of Rest, which examines the science behind our struggles to rest and relax. In November 2022, her new book, The Keys to Kindness is to be published.

For her work within psychology, Claudia has won several awards; including The President’s Medal from the British Academy, The Best Popular Science Book Award from the British Psychological Society, The Public understanding of Neuroscience Award from the British Neuroscience Association, and finally The Public Engagement & Media Award from the British Psychological Society.
