Year 8 pupil Franci Chrisp is raising awareness of the Little Princess Trust charity by having her hair locks lopped off and raising important funds in the process.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young adults up to the age of 24, who have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. Franci hopes she will inspire others to make the same gesture to help sick children feel better about how they look when they lose their hair from illness.
She is booked in at the end of June to have her haircut, by which time it will be long enough as she is trying to get the maximum length of 9 inches.
Mr Hertout, Form Tutor, adds: “Franci has thought long and hard how to support the Little Princess Trust and it is very brave of her to make the decision to give up her hair for the charity. She is keen to make a long-term difference to these children, hence the high target she set herself to achieve, and it would be wonderful for our school community to support her efforts in the coming weeks and months”.
