On Monday, the Service Team held its first lunch club of the new term for senior residents of the local community.
The lunch club provides an opportunity for Sixth Form students to spend some quality time with the elderly residents, eating lunch, chatting and socialising. Activities included a quiz, which the guests thoroughly enjoyed and a music performance. The guests told us that they very much look forward to the lunch club afternoons, as they enjoy sharing their school and life experiences with us all. The afternoon ended in a raffle, where many items were won.
Ms Dawson, Biology Teacher (CAS & Service Coordinator), said: “Lunch club is a brilliant opportunity for the School to give something back to the community, and it’s great to see the Girls’ Leadership Group taking such an active role in the club and making sure it’s an enjoyable experience for the members.”
