Talented golfer Roisin Scanlon (Year 6) produced a fine golfing display to win the Bedfordshire Schools U16 Girls Scratch Championship (Thursday 11th October).
In very windy conditions on the tricky Dunstable Downs GC Course, Roisin shot an impressive round of 83. She has gained automatic qualification into the English Schools National Championships, U16 South-East Schools Championships and the U16 English Schools National Championships.
Roisin said: “I was over joyed to have won and become the under 16 champion. I am really looking forward to representing Bedford Girls’ School next year at the National under 16 and 18 schools championship.
“I couldn't have done this without the help and support that I have been given with from Mrs Bullerwell (PE Administrator) and the school.”
