Junior School Community

By Mrs Martin (Head of Year 3)

On Thursday afternoon, the Randle Hall was filled with smiles, laughter and the comforting clink of teacups as our Year 3 girls proudly hosted their grandparents and special guests for the Wonder Girls Lifeskills Showcase.

This event marked the end of a four-week focus on practical skills such as hospitality, conversation, basic food prep and craft. The girls warmly welcomed their guests, served tea and coffee and shared treats alongside their talents in reading poems and showcasing art.

From thoughtful conversations to classic games, the afternoon was filled with joyful interaction between generations. For those whose grandparents couldn’t attend, neighbours and family friends stepped in adding to the community spirit.

The girls rose to the occasion, this was about more than just skills, it was about connection, confidence, and kindness. A simple but meaningful afternoon, celebrating the joy of shared stories and growing life skills.
