Junior School Trips and Excursions

By Mrs Schofield (Head of Year 4)

On Monday 24th March, Year 4 set off on an exciting residential trip to Grafham Water Activity Centre. Initially nervous, the girls quickly embraced the spirit of adventure. Over three days, they participated in a variety of challenging activities, including sailing, canoeing, crate stacking with high ropes, archery, mountain biking and the famous 'Grafham Challenge'! The girls showed determination and enthusiasm, tackling each challenge with courage.

The high ropes and crate stacking required both physical skill and mental strength and the girls displayed impressive resilience as they overcame their fears. With all this activity, most of them found it easy to fall asleep at night.

Throughout the trip, the girls were not only brave but also incredibly supportive of each other. Many tried activities like sailing for the first time, discovering new interests and passions. We also saw a few girls who had found riding their bike quite challenging and managed to persevere and complete the route which made everyone so proud. The mysterious 'Grafham Challenge' was much awaited and did not disappoint, with many declaring it was their favourite activity.

By the end of the trip, the girls had overcome their initial fears and emerged more confident and adventurous, ready to take on new challenges.
