On Saturday, 31 girls from Years 7 and 8 visited Bedford School to play mixed hockey with the boys from Bedford School, marking the official opening of their pitch at Gordon Fields.
The girls were put into mixed teams with the boys and had tremendous fun showing off their hockey skills and battling with the boys to win the ball.
Overall hockey was the winner and it is something we are going to try to repeat with other junior school hockey teams.
Looking ahead, the first team are preparing for their last 16 fixture against Framlingham on Thursday 7th February. It is a massive achievement to reach the last 16 of the England Hockey Tier 1 Cup competition, as we have beaten Kimbolton, Rugby and Oundle Schools to reach this stage in the competition.
