In the daily Mathematics challenges during Half Term Nightingale are currently in the lead with a score of 105, Franklin 2nd with 80, Hepburn 3rd with 69, Parks 4th with 53, Chanel 5th with 36 and Austen 6th with 24 points.
Time Capsule Competition Results
In the Time Capsule Competition which ran across the last Half Term, Mrs Cruse (Head of Years 7 and 8) set five different tasks encouraging students to create a bank of memories that would help future generations at BGS to understand what it was like to live through these unprecedented times.
The overall winner was Kaila Hill (Year 8) Hepburn.
Mrs Cruse felt Kaila’s responses to all the tasks were particularly thoughtful and included a lovely interview with her Mum!
2nd place was awarded to Harriet Jones (Lower Sixth) Franklin House Captain with her letter to a future pupil at BGS which was particularly warm and interesting.
3rd place went to Rhiannon Douglass (Year 8) Nightingale with her beautiful poster depicting how she had been keeping busy during lockdown.

Miss Brice (Head of Classics) judged the second 3D Craft Competition which had the theme of a ‘Fantasy Creature’
1st place - Sophie Watson (Year 11) Hepburn with her fabulous Rosehorse creation alongside a description of the Rosehorse’s magical powers!
2nd place Sabira Egan (Lower Sixth) Franklin House Prefect with her Scorpiofly.
3rd place Katherine Whitehead (Lower Sixth) Nightingale with her Banapplepus.
Highly Commended Martha Barnes (Year 7) Chanel with Voilet the Happy Cow.

Mrs Winter (Head of Dance) has organised a House Dance Competition for this Half Term! Please see all the details in the email from Mrs Axford sent to you today Friday 5th June. Deadline for entries is 9.00pm Sunday 28th June.
Highly commended submissions for each task will be publicised in your weekly BGS Community EDIT, on our social media sites and will be rewarded with more house points towards your House Totals.
